Need to find a doctor that can help you with your symptoms?
The optimal way to search for a doctor by name is to search by their Last Name only, however the first name can also be included in the search. If you are unsure of the exact spelling of a name, the search system will automatically show you the ¡°sounds-like¡± results, which will be collected according to names that are most closely associated.
The optimal way to search for a doctor by specialty is to select a Specialty and State. If your search result is larger than the predetermined limit, you will be asked to narrow down the search by adding Suburb and/or PostCode.
Occasionally, a doctor is difficult to locate because :
¤ýThe doctor has moved to a different state and ME has not yet received the new address.
¤ýThere are no ME registered doctors in your suburb. Searching by council will increase your chance to find a doctor.
¤ýA small number of doctors have requested a "no contact" designation on their ME records. (No contact records are managed like an unlisted phone number and are not released.)
¤ýThe doctor's name may have a space in it, like "Mc Donald" (Use of a space is required.)
¤ýDoctor search uses the primary and complimentary medical specialty designated by the doctor. (Your doctor may practice more than one medical specialty.)
